Recommended Maintenance

Sweep, vacuum or damp mop as necessary to remove dust, dirt and grit. Remove heavy spills or spots immediately with a heavy detergent and stiff brush or a non- metallic scouring pad. Routinely mop the surface with a neutral liquid cleaner. Use a simple two bucket method- one bucket containing the diluted cleaner and the other containing clear water. Mop in small areas and change the rinse water regularly. Mop up any dirty cleaning solution and allow the floor to dry thoroughly. Under normal conditions, rinsing is not necessary. However, if the surface is extremely dirty, it should be allowed to dry and mopped again. Over time a natural patina will develop. It can be enhanced with a soft buffing. For applications in restaurants/cafeteria service and dining areas, at least once per week- and more often if necessary- the floor should be scrubbed with a solution of Hillyard’s assurance® all purpose cleaner or a comparable product and a scrub brush.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Initial Cleaning and Seasoning. It is the installers responsibility to thoroughly clean and remove all grout or mortar from the new tile surface. Because grout joints are porous and highly susceptible to staining, you may wish to protect them with an application of a penetrating sealer. If the floor will be subject to frequent staining by fat, oil, or grease, you may wish to apply the penetrating sealer to the tile as well. Follow the manufacturers directions carefully. Seal the floor only after it is thoroughly cleaned and before seasoning the floor. Season the floor by mopping thoroughly with a double strength application of neutral liquid cleaner.

Return Policy: (15 Days)

We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase from theflooringfactory.com. If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 15 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping cost. The items must be returned in good condition, in original boxes, and with all paperwork, parts, and accessories to ensure full credit. For no reason will merchandise be accepted after 15 days. You are responsible for the entire shipping charges (to and from). Our actual shipping cost is usually more than what you paid for your online order as we discount outbound shipping for our customers. Discounts may vary depending on the size of the order and the final destination.
We do not accept returns on moldings and other accessories such as foam underlay and glue and product overages not used.

Special Order 25% Restocking Fee

All items marked Special Order adhere to our Special Order Express return policy. All Special Order Express returns/exchanges require a 25% restocking fee be charged to the customer. Original shipping charges, sales taxes, and handling costs are non-refundable. Customers are required to ship the product back to us at their own expense in order to qualify for the refund.

Customer must return ENTIRE order. Partial returns, leftover materials and/or excess materials will not be accepted.

Returned product must be unused, in original packaging and have been properly stored. Any returns that do not meet the above criteria for refunds will only be shipped back to the customer at customer's expense. All orders in transit cannot be canceled and will be treated as a return.

Damaged or Defective Items (You get refund or replacement) 

Please inspect merchandise carefully as to contents and conditions upon receipt. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact a theflooringfactory.com Customer Service Specialist immediately at 866-563-5667. Please supply the Specialist with your order number, item number, and tracking number from your original confirmation e-mail. The Flooring Factory will make every reasonable effort to replace the damaged or missing items provided it was noted on the paperwork you signed at the time you received the order. No Claims will be allowed without such notes being made. You Must save any damaged material and have it available for pickup. If you submit a claim for damaged material and do not have the damaged material for us to pick up, you will be billed for the replacement material and the freight to get it to you. If you refuse an order, you will be charged the actual original freight cost, the return freight cost and any restocking fees that might apply.

Clearance Bundle Purchase/Return Policy

Must purchase full quantity as described. No partial purchase available. Quantities are limited. Available online and in-store. Returns must be entire order purchased. No partial returns/refunds available. All returns must be shipped within 15 days. Shipping/delivery costs are non-refundable. Product must be returned in the same condition as at the time of purchase.

Pick up You can pick up your order from any of our nearest locations for no extra charge unless your product is special order.

Standard Ground, Normally arrives in 1-7 business days

Accessories may be shipped to the 48 contiguous United States via Standard Ground service. You can expect your order to arrive within 1-7 full business days. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.

Freight Delivery, Normally arrives in 2-8 business days

Heavy item(s) must be shipped separately via ground freight (freight trucking companies like: Fedex Freight, Yellow Freight). Usually, oversized item(s) arrive within 2-8 full business days after leaving the warehouse. Most oversized item(s) leave the warehouse within 2 to 3 full business days. We cannot offer expedited shipping for oversized item(s). The delivery company will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery date and time window. Typically, there will be a minimum of a four-hour time frame for the delivery and an adult must be available to accept, inspect, and sign-for the delivery. The item will be delivered to your designated shipping address. The freight delivery company is not responsible for unloading the item from the truck or carrying the item into the building. Your package is likely to be heavy and large; therefore, we recommend that you have someone with you to help unload the item from the truck and carry it inside. The total charge does not include lift gate service, inside delivery and removal of cartons.
